The Blossomwood String Quartet, from left to right: Jeffrey Dortch and Lisa Wiggins, violin; Veneta Billmayer, cello; Charles Hogue, viola

The Blossomwood String Quartet is based in Huntsville, Alabama. All four members of the Quartet were trained in major music schools and have had active careers with noted symphony orchestras. All four are active teachers and have contributed to the development of future generations of musicians. The Quartet has been engaged to play on regional chamber music series and has provided live entertainment at many corporate events in the Huntsville/Madison area.

As mentioned, we have a broad-ranging repertoire which includes classical wedding standards as well as modern favorites. We try to honor requests as much as possible. On this page you will find a sampling of what we play. Keep in mind that this is only a sampling; consult with us if you want to include selections you don’t find here. This will also give you an idea of what we sound like. When there is something like white noise in the background, this is rain drumming on the roof of the chapel where the recordings were made. We had no control over this! Think of it as adding to the ambience! Listen for the church bell in the Wedding March. It rings every day at the church at three o’clock, and our recording just happened to be in progress when it rang.
